Due to the pandemic, we did not expect to grow the business last year, but through the recommendation and referral from clients, we increased client numbers by 12%.
When Covid hit we started to record a weekly audio call to maintain the connection with clients. We have received very positive feedback, and so this is now part of our core offering, and it will continue.
For the above initiative, we have been nominated for a national award Best Client Engagement, by Professional Adviser Magazine, for communicating, and looking after clients in extreme circumstances.
Long term relationships are really important to us, and we have reached a new milestone, where we now have,
The good work we do, has been recognised by Professional Adviser Magazine, making us a ‘Finalist’ in the, Adviser Firm of the Year – South East, for 2020, 2021 and 2022.
We are proud to have been awarded Top 100 status by Citywire’s New Model Adviser Magazine, for the third consecutive year.
This represents a great deal of hard work in being considered a leader in the U.K. financial planning community and our commitment to client care. Our culture can best be described as Benefit One, Benefit All ® which means we treat clients like family. All benefit from our latest thinking, and we continue to share our success with the community, through charitable giving.
Our ‘clearly cautious’ ethos permeates through all that we do, specialising in cautious wealth management and financial planning, for families transitioning through retirement.
Our Cautious Blend ® investment process, and Risk to Safety ® retirement process, is central to our offering of ‘Making Retirement Safer’, moving away from selling a financial product, to creating a process, that really adds value to the client journey.
The hero of that journey is the client, and our role is in protecting them from risk and uncertainty, what some might call the Big Bad City!
Our role is to help clients see where they need to go, develop a plan, and to keep things on track. We have come to call it a Himalaya Journey ® to express a journey of growth, discovery and financial happiness.
We advise families with assets totalling £82m; with an average client age 66; and an average portfolio size £500,000+. Finally, we are doing a lot of work with the children and grandchildren of clients. So this year we launch our ‘digital only’ service, Money Chef ® which will cater for the 30-50 age range, directors and the self employed, in their pre-retirement phase, as well as those wishing to start saving.
